“In his series of urbex photographs ” Tresum “, conducted between 2009 and 2010 in the former Annecy, hospital, Emmanuel Bertrand is interested in the traces and symbols of a past activity; this place full of history, whose deconstruction began in late 2011, was for the photographer as a palette to the question of representation. Textures and emotions of the place as captured and translated to solid colors, shapes and lines, are both testimony and abstraction”. Edouard Johnson, visual artist
Thanks to Julien Costes and the direction of the Hospital of the Annecy region, without which these photographs could never be taken, to Edouard Johnson for the reception of this exhibition within its walls, to Michel Kneubühler , former DRAC consultant, for his guidance through this project, Christine Hominal, Project Manager of Cultural Affairs of the CHRA, for the continuation of this project she helps to give.
